Of all the terrible television shows that get released to home video formats, it's a wonder how a purple cat named Eek! came to be hated by everyone that has a role in his fate. Originally aired on the Fox Kids network in the mid-90s, "Eek!stravaganza" (originally known as "Eek! The Cat" in its first season) lasted for 75 episodes spread across five seasons, which ended in 1997.
A shortwhile later, Disney acquired the rights to this series through an acquisition of Saban Entertainment, and have never shown even the slightest interest in the purple feline. So all that remains of his legacy is this lone VHS tape containing a measly two episodes, which was released back in 1995 (there was also a terrible Super Nintendo game released around the same time).
And with no further announcements made by Disney concerning the Eek! property, it doesn't appear any of this is going to change any time soon.
